Written on a poster board so the kids can read (or sing) along.
I want to walk as a child of the light. I want to follow Jesus. God set the stars to give light to the world. The star of my life is Jesus. In him there is no darkness at all. The night and the day are both alike. The Lamb is the light of the city of God. Shine in my heart, Lord Jesus.(Hymnal 1982 pg. 490)
(Ask for individual prayers of concern or thanksgiving/celebration)
We offer these prayers through Jesus, the light of the world. Amen

Baptism Games
When we are baptized we join Jesus in his baptism. The priest marks the baby or person being baptized with the sign of the cross and says “______, you are sealed by the Holy Spirit in Baptism and marked as Christ’s own forever.” Invite children to sit in a circle. Together, make crosses in the air with your hands or fingers. Talk about these actions. Pass the sign of the cross around the circle from hand to hand. Or give each child a piece of paper and crayons and ask them to make as many crosses as the paper will hold.
When we are baptized, we follow Jesus. Play “Follow the Leader” around the room. Let each child have a turn leader in different directions and with different motions.
